The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has praised the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, for his leadership and commitment to maintaining peace and security across the country.
The commendation came when the IGP paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II applauded Mr. Yohuno for his professionalism and the efforts of the Ghana Police Service in maintaining law and order. He said the work of the Police Service was important in ensuring the safety of citizens and preserving national peace.
The Asantehene also urged the Police Administration to strengthen its collaboration with traditional authorities and the public to improve security, particularly in the Ashanti Region. He encouraged officers to continue serving with integrity, fairness and dedication.

Responding, IGP Christian Tetteh Yohuno thanked the Asantehene for his support and assured him of the Police Service’s commitment to working with chiefs, communities and other stakeholders to promote peace, protect lives and property, and enhance public safety across the country.
