The Member of Parliament for Madina, Dr Francis-Xavier Sosu, has distributed food items to hundreds of residents as part of activities marking this year’s Homowo celebrations.

The MP arrived in the constituency with trucks loaded with food supplies, which were distributed to some families.

Dr Sosu said the outreach forms part of his social intervention programmes aimed at supporting vulnerable residents.

He said the initiative complements other projects being implemented to improve the living conditions of people in the constituency.

According to him, the Madina Job Centre has so far impacted more than 15,000 people, with efforts continuing to create opportunities for residents.

“Right here in Madina, we’re still working on the Madina Job Centre that so far has impacted maybe in excess of 15,000 people and we are still impacting people,” he said.

He added that his health and education initiatives, as well as scholarship programmes, were also ongoing to support constituents.

Dr Sosu commended the NDC government for its support to Madina and appealed for more assistance to meet the needs of the rapidly growing constituency.
