Mr. Ayittei Tettey, a 56-year-old man suffering from High Fever, was nearly lynched by some residents of Mataheko Sunday after being mistaken for a thief.
Junior sister of Mr. Ayittei, Madam Ramatul Tettey, narrating her brother’s predicament to Atinka News, said she received a strange call from a Good Samaritan on Sunday that her bruised brother was wandering about at Mataheko.
Madam Ramatul recounted how gory the incident was when she first set her eyes on her senior brother who was wearing tattered clothes soaked in blood.
She said her brother was taken to Korle Bu Accident Centre for attention and to her surprise, Mr. Ayittey could not recognize her and the other siblings.
The family has made a formal complaint to the police for further investigations.
