Akwatia By-Elections: Reject NDC and Honor Ernest Kumi with Your Votes– Prince Sefah

Prince Sefah

Former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) and a Member of the New Patriotic Party, Prince Sefah has said that it would be a major disgrace to the former Member of Parliament, late Ernest Kumi, if the people of Akwatia turn to vote for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming by-elections scheduled for Tuesday,2nd September,2025.

According to him, supporting the NDC would amount to reversing progress and bringing back “an era of empty promises.”

Speaking during a panel discussion on Atinka FM’s morning show with host Ekow Budu Sam, Mr. Sefah noted that Ernest Kumi demonstrated unwavering commitment to the development of Akwatia and deserves to be rewarded now that he is no more.

He argued that choosing the NDC over Kumi would not only undermine the former MP’s efforts but also tarnish the constituency’s credibility in recognizing leaders who work in their interest.

“It will be a disgrace for Ernest Kumi, who has sacrificed and worked tirelessly for the people of Akwatia, if they turn around and vote for the NDC. The NDC has no track record here, and we all know their history of neglect,” Mr. Sefah stated.

He emphasized that the NPP has invested heavily in infrastructure, education, and social programs in Akwatia, and that continuity is crucial to safeguard these achievements.

Mr. Sefah urged constituents to rally behind the NPP’s candidate to ensure victory at the end of the polls.

He concluded by calling on voters to “honor Ernest Kumi with their votes, not disgrace him by rewarding the NDC.”
