Former Deputy General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), has taken a swipe at the flagbearer for Movement For Change and Alliance For Revolutionary Change, Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanten,describing him as ungrateful and bitter.
Speaking to Ekow Budu Sam on Atinka FM’s AM Drive, the outspoken lawyer and politician described Mr. Kyeremanten as one of the biggest beneficiaries of the NPP and therefore shouldn’t hold any grudges for not being elected as flagbearer of the Party.
Mr. Alan Kyeremanten recently granted an interview and registered his disagreement with Former President John Agyekum Kufuor for endorsing Dr. Bawumia as the ideal man to lead this country.
The former Trades and Industries Minister argued that a former president and a statesman shouldn’t endorse any presidential candidate, let alone Dr. Bawumia who is regarded by many as a failure. He added that Mr.Kufuor has underminined his reputation for endorsing the NPP Presidential Candidate.
Reacting to this, Lawyer Obiri Boahen indicated that Alan has no reason to disagree with the statesman for his choice of presidential candidate.
“Why won’t Kufuor endorse Bawumia? Hasn’t Alan seen Hopeson Adorye and several of his supporters insult members of the NPP? What has he done about it? The fact that he’s been part of the Party since 1992 doesn’t mean he must be the presidential candidate at all costs”, he asserted.
