The Chairman for the Governing Board of the National Sports Authority (NSA) and former Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante Akyem North Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang has picked nomination forms to contest the 2020 Parliamentary elections in the same area.
Kwadwo Baah Agyemang picked his nomination forms on Monday, 27th January 2020, at the New Patriotic Party office in the Constituency.
He was accompanied by friends, family, well-wishers and some polling station executives. Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang became MP in 2012 when the Asante Akyem North District seceded from Asante Akyem Central.
The Sports Authority boss told the media that, he was determined to snatch the seat from the incumbent so he can help make Asante Akyem North Great Again. He further stated that his decision to contest the primary was in response to the persistent calls on him by the constituents.
He promised to help fix the many challenges the constituency faces when given the mandate. He further admonished his followers to engage in decent campaigning devoid of insults, lies and character assassination, urging them to work hard to ensure his victory come 15th April 2020 and that of the party in the general elections.
