Accra is about to witness a Banku bonanza like never before, as Atinka TV, a proud member of the Tobinco Media Group, gears up to host the 3rd edition of the Atinka Banku Party on Wednesday, May 1, 2025, at the Trust Sports Emporium (Bukom Boxing Arena).
This year’s event has been moved from the TMG premises to the much larger Bukom Boxing Arena to accommodate thousands of expected guests, with organizers promising nothing short of a cookery.
More than just a feast, the event is a celebration of Ghanaian workers and a bold move to promote banku, to the level of national pride.
From skilled chefs to enthusiastic plastic sellers ready with bowls and takeaway packs, everything is in place to ensure no one goes home hungry.
“This year, we are taking it like the World Cup,” – corn dough sellers at Odawna Market pledge their support.
“Because we have the best banku ingredients in Accra — from yellow maize to white maize dough — everything is set to serve Ghanaians the most authentic taste of our cherished dish!”
The Atinka Banku Party will also host the official launch of Season 9 of Di Asa, Ghana’s premier plus-size dance reality show.
Expect live music, electrifying performances and surprise appearances.
