Bawumia grateful to Suame for warm reception

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Suame for their unwavering support and warm reception as he concluded his nationwide tour in the Ashanti Region. Dr. Bawumia, who is also the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), acknowledged Suame’s enthusiasm, describing it as a testament to their unity and commitment to the party.

During his visit, Dr. Bawumia engaged in discussions with local leaders, including pastors, chiefs, and imams, on the future of the country..

The Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Abdul Moomen Haruna, urged all Muslims to support Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy, emphasizing the potential to make history with Ghana’s first Muslim President.

Dr. Bawumia also commissioned a state-of-the-art Astroturf in Suame and addressed supporters at a mini rally in Breman. Speaking to the crowd, he praised the constituency, saying, “Today, I will sleep very well. I’m impressed with the level of unity and hard work you’ve shown. The other party will not sleep tonight when they see this crowd. Thank you, Suame.”

The Municipal Chief Executive for Suame, Maxwell Ofosu Boakye, highlighted ongoing government projects in the area, including roads and schools, and expressed confidence that Suame’s residents will support Dr. Bawumia’s vision in the upcoming elections.

In his address, Dr. Bawumia emphasized key achievements under the NPP administration, such as the Free Senior High School policy, which he promised would be maintained. He also spoke about advancements in healthcare, particularly the drone delivery system, and credited the “Planting for Food and Jobs” initiative for making Ghana a leader in food security in Africa. Furthermore, he announced plans to manufacture solar panels in Ghana to create jobs and reduce energy costs.

Reaffirming his stance on social issues, Dr. Bawumia expressed opposition to LGBTQ policies and pledged free tertiary education for persons with disabilities. He also promised reforms in passport application processes, aiming to make them more efficient.

The “Mother of the Suame Constituency,” Sompahemaa Mrs. Irene Kyei Mensah, lauded the efforts of Suame residents, encouraging them to work tirelessly toward securing victory for the NPP in the upcoming elections.
