The Builders Band (BB), emerged winners of Atinka TV’s Big Band Gospel Reality Show, Kronkron Season Two on Sunday.
They surpassed five other bands at the last stage of the competition to emerge winners.
BB received a cash prize of GHC10,000 and a set of Musical Instruments.
BB is made up of church members of the Building for Christ International Church at Achimota- ABC.
At the end of four rounds of performances, the Dynamic Band secured the 1st runner up position while HD were the 2nd runners up.
Dynamic also received a cash Prize of GH10,000 with HD receiving a cash prize of GH5,000.
All bands secured their respective positions based on performances, judges comments, votes and bible knowledge.
10 bands qualified to enter the grand finale out of almost 30 bands that entered the competition.
The bands that made it to the grand finale were BB, VH, HS, TS, TG Crew, Rev B, Dynamic, MB, HD and DR.
At the end of the first stage, dubbed ‘Praises and Worship’, VH and MB were evicted.
Despite their energy and great composure, TG Crew and TS were evicted after the ‘old school’ stage which was the second round.
BB, HS, Rev B, Dynamic, HD and DR went to the third stage where they performed their own music.
Although their performance were solid, Rev B and DR deviated from their task as they did not perform their own songs but put their lyrics on already existing beats.
At the end of round four, which was the indigenous session, BB were victorious.
Their fans could not hold their joy; they shared in jubilation with the winning band over the success chalked.
SP Kofi Sarpong, Odehyieba Naana and other artistes graced the occasion with powerful performances.
