Ghanaian musician Veananegasi has praised fellow artiste Black Sherif, describing him as one of the finest musicians of this generation and commending his storytelling ability.
Speaking in an interview on Bullet TV’s Vibes Central, Veananegasi said Black Sherif deserves greater recognition for his impact on Ghana’s music industry.
“One of the best artistes of our time is Black Sherif, and we need to give him his flowers; he is a good storyteller,” she stated.
The musician also applauded the emergence of the “Ghanapiano” sound, a Ghanaian adaptation of the popular South African Amapiano genre.
She specifically praised Ghdopenation for creatively branding and promoting the sound.
“I like how Ghdopenation has coined Ghanapiano from Amapiano; I think if you are an artiste, you should be yourself,” she added.
Veananegasi further encouraged musicians to remain authentic and develop unique identities instead of imitating trends, stressing that originality remains important in sustaining a successful music career.
