Covid-19: Kwahu Professionals Network supports 5 hospitals in Kwahu

Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN), an association of professionals who hail from Kwahu, has donated items valued at several thousands of cedis to five (5) selected health facilities spread across Kwahu in the Eastern Region.

The donation is in line with the Association’s corporate social responsibility to support government’s effort in the fight against the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19).

The beneficiary health facilities include; Holy Family Hospital at Nkawkaw, Kwahu Praso Health Centre, Abetifi Health Center, Ekye and Donkorkrom Presbyterian Hospitals, both in the Afram Plains.

The items include; Nose Masks, Surgical Gloves, Hand Sanitizers/Surface Sanitizers, Liquid Soaps, Bleach, Veronica Buckets/Buckets/Veronica Stands, Paper Towels, Toilet Rolls etc.

Speaking at the presentation at the Holy Family Hospital, the representative of KPN, Benedict Kwasi Gyimah commended the efforts of doctors and nurses at the various facilities across the country especially in Kwahu in  combating the deadly pandemic.

He noted that due to the Coronavirus outbreak and the cancellation of all Easter  activities in Kwahu, the yearly health outreach by KPN dubbed KPN GIVE BACK which was slated for Obo-Kwahu could not come to fruition as such this was the Association’s way of giving back to Kwahu to support our most vulnerable health facilities in these difficult times.

Receiving the items on behalf of the 5 health facilities, the Health Director of Holy Family Hospital, Dr Isaac Antwi Adu-Poku commended KPN for the kind and thoughtful gesture and encouraged various groups and associations in Kwahu and Ghana to emulate the example.

KPN has also released a COVID19 Prevention Radio Jingle voiced over by KPN member Vida Adutwumwaa to be played on radio stations and community centers in Kwahu and it’s environs to educate the locals. #KPN #Kwahu #COVID19.
