Akufo Addo: ‘Ebony had a promising career by all accounts’

 

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, has expressed his condolence to the families of Ghana’s sensational dancehall artiste, Priscila Opoku Kwarteng, known in showbiz as Ebony reigns.

The President in a Facebook  post described Ebony as a talented musician with a promising music career by all accounts.

“We are saddened by the news of the death of the young but extremely talented female artiste, Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, aka Ebony Reigns.

“By all accounts she had a very promising music career. My deepest condolence to her family and to the families of the two others who died in the tragic accident”, The President tweeted.

According to reports, the 20- year old singer died on the spot when her jeep plunged into a ditch and summersaulted several times at Mankranso in the Ashanti Region.

Ebony was returning from Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo when the unfortunate incident occurred.  She was looking forward to celebrating her 21st birthday on the 16th of February.
