GES interdicts GHANASS, O’Reilly headmistresses

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has interdicted Patience Naki Mensah, the headmistress of Ghana Senior High School in Koforidua and Nadia Lartechoe Annan, the headmistress of O’Reilly SHS.

With Patience Naki Mensah, the headmistresses of the Ghana Senior High School, her interdiction was as a result allegedly selling unauthorized items to Form One students reporting to the school.

A press release by the Eastern Regional Director of Education, Mrs. Ivy Asantewaa Owusu, on Thursday, December 7, 2023 said the headmistress has been directed to step aside for further investigation into the allegation.

“It has come to the notice of Management of Ghana Education Service that, there is an unauthorised sale of the following items to the Form One students reporting to school:

· Ceremonial Cloth

. Track Suites

. Other Items

You are, therefore, being asked to step aside with effect from 7th December 2023 for further investigation to be conducted into the allegation,” the statement added.

Nadia Lartechoe Annan, the headmistress of O’Reilly SHS was also interdicted for a similar offense.

She has been directed to hand over all school property to the Municipal Director of Education, Ledzokuku, who will assume oversight responsibility during her absence.

It has come to the notice of Management, the Collection of Unauthorized Monies at O’Reilly Senior High School as part of the admission process. Based on the above and as the Code of Conduct stipulates, you are to step aside for an investigation to be conducted,” the letter addressed to Nadia Lartechoe Annan, the headmistress of O’Reilly SHS, read.
