According to the Executive producer of the yet to be casted movie [Heroes of Africa], Frank Fifii Gharbin, there have been great heroes in the history of Ghana whose life influenced the Nation positively but up coming generations do not easily relate to the historical stories told about them, hence the need to put the history into visuals to fully tell the story.
“We believe we have great heroes in the country whose life they lived impacted positively on the Nation but filming their contributions towards Ghana’s development has been something that has not been looked at. We are putting this movie together to let everybody around the world feel and know how the contributions of heroes [Tetteh Quarshie] in Ghana’s history came about” he explained.
Mr. Frank Fifii Gharbin made these assertions while addressing the press in Accra.
“The movie has come at the right time where many Ghanaians who came for the Year of Return celebrations will equally appreciate the history and heroes of our dear Nation Ghana and will easily relate with the stories they already know [Tetteh Quarshie].
Mr. Fifii Gharbin continued,“This movie will promote the tourism of Ghana because more questions would be asked after watching, which will compel people to like to know more about the Tetteh Quarshie, how he started, where he lived and how he manage to bring the cocoa to Ghana. They will relate with the story they already know to the extent of traveling to tour some areas in the country,” he said.
Starred Actors and Actress in the movie ‘Tetteh Quarshie’ includes, Van Vicker, George France, Emelia Brobbey, Akrobeto, Kojo Nkansah, and Bernard Aduse-Poku among seasoned other movie personalities.
Speaking further, Mr. Frank Fifii Gharbin appealed to the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) to also invest into projects that portrays and talks about the history of Ghana such as the “Heroes of Africa” which when completed would boost up tourism in the country.
“I plead with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTC) to also invest in projects that would equally promote tourism in the country. They invested much in the “Year of Return” celebrations which is commendable but investing in a project we are bringing on board would also promote Tourism and project our country to the international world” Mr. Gharbin pleaded.
“Promoting Tourism in Ghana is not only by organizing musical or fashion shows which in recent times the Authority is seen of doing. Movies encompass all these shows which when promoted will equally boost tourism and attract international investors” he expressed.
