RisingSun Montessori School holds 9th graduation; Brianna Bekoe adjudged best graduating student

 

RISINGSUN Montessori, Botianor campus, has held its 9th Graduation and Achievers’ day ceremony which saw students graduate for the year 2018 on Saturday 21st July, 2018. 

From the Class of 2018, 29 students graduated and were presented with their certificates. Of the 29 graduating students, Brianna Bekoe was adjudged the best graduating student for her year group.

In an interview with Atinka news, the overall best graduand expressed her heartfelt gratitude firstly to God, her parents and to her teachers for their immense support which has enabled her to attain this feat.

The theme for this year’s celebration was, “Nurturing good values and attitudes in children for self-development and national growth” and was held for the excel leavers and BECE graduands.

Speaking at the event, the guest speaker for the event who is also a senior lecture at the University of Education-Winneba, Kweku Esia-Donkoh advised parents and teachers on the need to effectively nurture good values and attitudes in our children for them to become responsible adults.

In that regard, he noted that “Television programmes like ‘By the Fire Side’, and inter-school and drama and cultural competitions portrayed good morals, therefore, as a school, as teachers and as parents, we need to model good values and positive attitudes so that such traits could be transferred to the children
.
He also applauded the Management and staff of RISINGSUN Montessori School Lt and all stakeholders for providing quality basic education for the children.

Addressing the congregation, the principal of the school, madam Emenefa Ekua Agbosu  announced that the school has received a plaque from the Municipal Directorate for the school’s excellent performance I the 2017 BECE and spurred the remaining students on to achieve higher heights in their educational pursuits.
