In a continued show of commitment to education and teacher welfare, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has once again distributed laptops to teachers who have accepted postings to rural communities within the constituency.
Under the latest round of the initiative, 36 newly posted teachers received brand-new laptops as a token of appreciation and a practical tool to support their work in often underserved areas.
The gesture is part of a broader tradition in North Tongu, aimed at not only welcoming teachers but also enhancing their ability to deliver quality education.
Hon. Ablakwa emphasized that the donation is more than a symbolic gesture.
The MP also hinted at a series of forthcoming initiatives aimed at making North Tongu a model district for education.
These include continuous capacity-building programs, scholarship opportunities, and award schemes designed to retain and motivate educators across the district.
The initiative has been widely praised by education stakeholders and community leaders as a proactive step towards improving educational outcomes in rural areas.
As the constituency continues to rise under the banner of #NorthTonguRising, the focus remains clear: empowering teachers to empower the future.
