Akufo -Addo has sold NPP to CPP- Koku Anyidoho

Deputy National Democratic Congress (NDC) General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho, says the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has sold its values to the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) by electing Freddie Blay its party chairman.

Acting Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Freddie Blay, won the party’s chairmanship race at the just ended Delegates Conference held at the Koforidua Technical University over the weekend.

Freddie Blay polled 3,021 votes while his main challenger, Steven Ntim polled 2,515 votes.

Freddie Blay entered Parliament in 1997  as  Convention Peoples' Party (CPP)  MP for the Ellembele constituency.

Freddie Blay after being in Parliament 11 years, crossed carpet to the NPP in 2008.

Speaking to Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive Monday, Koku Anyidoho explained that Akufo Addo is a product of the Kwame Nkrumah Ideological Institute.

He added that the President who was a strong Nkrumah advocate during his days in the University of Ghana has managed to sell the NPP to the CPP.

“Akufo Addo has gone back to his roots by giving the chairmanship of the NPP to Freddie Blay and we the NDC are happy about the turn of events,” he added.

He called for the immediate sack and investigation of Freddy Blay for the lavish campaign conducted during the NPP conference.

According to Koku Anyidoho, President Akufo Addo would destroy the NPP before he hands over to another flagbearer.

The Minority in Parliament has also called for an immediate forensic audit into the accounts and activities of Freddie Blay.
