The Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has finally been granted bail.
The Criminal Investigations Department (CID), released the tough-talking politician on Thursday afternoon after spending two days in cells for threatening a coup.
Koku Anyidoho was picked up by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on Tuesday for making alleged treasonable comments.
Anyidoho warned President Akufo – Addo that, he will end up like his father, who was overthrown together with Dr. KA Busia in 1972.
Speaking on Accra based Happy FM Monday, the controversial politician said history had an interesting way of repeating itself and that President Akufo -Addo will end up like his dad who was forced out of government via coup d'état in 1972
He was later cautioned on offenses related to causing fear and alarm and treason felony.
Koku is expected to receive a huge welcome at the party headquarters in Accra later today.
