Our manifesto is a product of consultation-NDC

The Spokesperson for Flagbearer of NDC, John Dramani Mahama for the 2020 Campaign, James Agyenim Boateng has stated that the NDC’s 2020 Manifesto is one that is based on stakeholders consulations, therefore the needs of the people.

According to him, the NDC went to all the regions, towns, companies, individuals, students, business men and women, especially market women, farmers, drivers amongst others to discuss what they expect from a new government, how they want to see the country in the near future and what they think the government should do for the development of the country in all areas.

Speaking on Atinka TV’s morning show, Ghana Nie, hosted by Nana Owusu Nkrumah, Agyenim Boateng explained that, “The manifesto is one that is a product of consultation. This is the results of the consultation the party did with stakeholders and has put all together to be launched.”

The NDC is expected to launch its 2020 manifesto today, September 7, 2020 by 6p.m. at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) campus.

Agyenim Boateng also said John Mahama was very instrumental in compiling the manifesto, adding that he went to all stakeholders in person to do the consultations as well as Prof. Opoku-Agyemang.

Still on the launch, he said it is an invite only event expecting to host about 100 or a little more people including regional chairmen and party executives from across the country.

He said Kayayees, okada riders, and teachers are also going to have representatives in attendance.

Some of the major topics expected to be talked about at the launch, Agyenim Boateng said, is the removal of cost of health care and making it free for all.

He reiterated that the NDC government if given another chance will create 250,000 every year, creating about one million jobs in four years.

“John Mahama also plans to rejuvenate the economy by making an investment of 10 billion dollars to revamp the entire economy post covid, and also, legalise okada operations,” he said.
