Residents in the South Dayi Constituency of the Volta Region are grateful to their Member of Parliament, Rockson-Nelson Etse Dafeamekpor for some social interventions in the area.
The MP, who has embarked upon a project to supply potable water to communities in the Tongor and Kpali Traditional Areas to mitigate the long standing water challenges in those areas, told the media, the water crisis which has existed in the Kpali and Tongor Traditional Areas of the Constituency for long is now being addressed with the provision of solar powered mechanised boreholes in each Community while awaiting a permanent solution from the Government.

According to him, the first and second in the series of these water projects have been completed at Tongor-Abui and Kaira-Kpalime in the Tongor-Kaira Electoral Areas awaiting commissioning.
A third water project at Tongor-Ahor in the Tongor-Kaira Electoral Area is also on course. This began on Thursday and information is that, the third phase is expected to be completed within 10 days.
Many others are expected to begin in the coming weeks in other communities such as Toh-Kpalime, kpalime-Dugah, Tongor-Tsanakpe, Tongor-Tsita, Tongor-Dzemeni and Tongor-Adzebui according to Rockson-Nelson Etse Dafeamekpor.
He, therefore, pledged his commitment to assisting these communities to have access to quality water in the mean time.
