Unity Key to NPP’s Return to Power in 2028 – Dr. Henry Kokofu

Former Member of Parliament for Bantama, Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, has intensified his campaign for the Ashanti Regional Chairmanship of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), embarking on a strategic consultation tour across the Oforikrom, Asawasi, Asokwa, Subin and Nhyiaeso constituencies.

The engagements form part of his broader efforts to deepen consultations with constituency executives and grassroots leaders as he seeks to build consensus, strengthen party unity and reposition the NPP for a strong comeback in the 2028 general elections.

Addressing party faithful during the tour, Dr. Kokofu underscored the importance of renewed commitment, discipline and collaboration among members, stressing that unity remains the foundation for the party’s future electoral successes.

According to him, the NPP must focus on rebuilding and strengthening its structures at the grassroots level to enhance participation, improve internal coordination and attract both existing supporters and new members.

He outlined a vision aimed at creating stronger and more sustainable party structures capable of restoring confidence and consolidating the NPP’s dominance in the Ashanti Region.

As part of his message, the former Bantama legislator urged party members to rally behind the presidential ambition of former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, ahead of the 2028 elections, emphasizing that strategic organization and unity would be critical to securing victory.

Dr. Kokofu also appealed for peaceful and issue-based internal campaigns ahead of the party’s upcoming elections, urging aspirants and supporters alike to place the collective interest of the NPP above individual ambitions.
