In an exclusive interview with Roman Fada on Atinka 104.7 FM, renowned African traditional spiritualist, Kwaku Bonsam, commended President John Dramani Mahama for his visionary leadership in launching Ghana’s 24-hour economy initiative, expressing optimism about its potential for economic growth.

“His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama, thank you so much for launching the 24-hour economy. A lot of people doubted this move, but today, you’ve shown that you are truly a man of your word. This initiative is a game-changer, and I am confident it will bring a wave of new opportunities for the nation,” Bonsam stated. He emphasized the influx of investors expected to play a crucial role in creating jobs and driving economic activity in the country.

Bonsam’s praise didn’t stop at the President’s leadership. He extended his gratitude to the entire government, saying, “I also want to thank the President, his Ministers, and the entire Cabinet. With the Almighty’s blessing, may this initiative be successful and bring prosperity to all corners of Ghana.”

In a moment of reflection, the spiritualist took the opportunity to stress unity among Ghanaians, urging citizens not to judge a situation based on first impressions. “Let’s all come together to build the nation. It’s important we support the vision and help each other for the betterment of our country.”

Touching on the country’s currency situation, Bonsam pointed out a significant improvement in the value of the Ghanaian cedi, which has recently seen the dollar exchange rate drop to 9 cedis. “I was going to change money at a bank but quickly opted for the black market instead. This shows the appreciation of the cedi is truly helping the nation,” he remarked.

However, the traditionalist called for further measures to address the rising cost of living, particularly inflation. “I suggest the President finds a way to force people to reduce the price of goods,” Bonsam advised, echoing the frustrations of many Ghanaians who continue to feel the pinch of high prices despite the strengthening currency.

The conversation also highlighted the need for continued collaboration between the government, businesses, and the general public to ensure the success of the 24-hour economy and its broader goals of boosting local industries and creating sustainable employment opportunities.

As Ghana enters a new phase of its economic journey, Kwaku Bonsam’s insights reflect both the hope and the challenges that lie ahead, reminding citizens of the power of unity and collective action in nation-building.
