The allegations of sexual harassment leveled against a Chief Financial Officer of First Atlantic Bank, Ernest Kwasi Nimako, will be heard in the High Court in Accra today, Thursday, February 16, 2023.

Deborah Seyram Adablah, a former National Service employee of First Atlantic Bank in Accra, filed a suit against one of the bank’s managers, Ernest Kwasi Nimako, for failing to abide by the obligations of an intimate relationship they had.

Deborah Seyram Adablah, the plaintiff, stated in a 7-page writ of summons obtained by atinkaonline.com that she agreed to be in a relationship with Ernest Kwasi Nimako because her happiness at work would be jeopardized if she did not give in to the relationship.

The writ of summons also added that the plaintiff had turned down an opportunity to be a permanent staff member after her National Service due to the manager’s promise of making life comfortable for her by paying her rent, giving her capital for her business, giving her a new car, and marrying her after divorcing his substantive wife.

However, the writ stated that the manager did well in fulfilling some of his obligations until their relationship became complicated.

Deborah Seyram Adablah is demanding that the rest of the promises be fulfilled, including the payment of the remaining two-year rent as well as a change of ownership of the Honda car he bought for her as part of the promises.

The plaintiff is also suing the First Atlantic Bank for allowing senior officers to enter into relationships with unwilling subordinates while using the females as bait to get rich customers to open accounts with the company.

First Atlantic Bank, who were named as 2nd Defendant in the case has since requested that its name be withdrawn from the suit “on the ground that they disclose no reasonable cause of action against the applicant.”
