The Government of Ghana has criticized Hamas following the latter’s attacks on Israeli citizens over the weekend.
Southern Israel was besieged by Hamas militants infiltrating from the Gaza Strip to launch rocket assaults against unsuspecting Israeli civilians.
This has compelled the Israeli government to retaliate with full force.
However, in a brief statement, the Governmnet through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “Ghana unequivocally condemns the attacks and calls on the Hamas leadership to immediately cease the attacks and withdraw its militants from southern Israel.
“While Ghana affirms its support for Israel’s right to exist and defend itself, it calls on the Israeli government to exercise restraint in its response to Hamas attacks.”
