Menzgold saga: Victims peeved over GH₵‎5million payment plan

Aggrieved Menzgold Customers

Fred Forson, Convenor for Aggrieved Menzgold Customers says the new payment plan from the embattled gold dealership company, is unfortunate.

Gold dealership firm, Menzgold, in a statement said it has handed an amount of GH₵‎5million to the Ghana Police Service to begin payment of its customers.

The Ghana Police Service is expected to supervise the payment of the customers whom the Menzgold, says have adhered to the protocols and validation processes.

The statement from the company says, the payment marks a significant stride in resolving the enduring concerns of those who found their investments locked.

Menzgold emphasised that the current payment process would be exclusively for clients who had diligently followed the stipulated procedures during the settlement process.

The company urged those eligible for payment to strictly adhere to the specific dates provided to them during the completion of the required forms.

The list of customers scheduled to receive payments will be forwarded to the police by Menzgold to facilitate a seamless disbursement process.

The forthcoming disbursements are expected to bring a sense of relief and closure to the concerns of Menzgold’s esteemed clientele, signaling a positive turning point for both the company and its dedicated customers.

Reacting to the issue on Atinka FM’s AM Drive with host Nana Fianko, Fred Forson, Convenor for Aggrieved Menzgold Customers says information available to him suggests that Menzgold gave GHS2.5m to the police and not GHS5M as it is being speculated.

Fred Forson, who is peeved has called on the CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, to do the needful and intensify measures to repay monies to affected persons in the Menzgold saga.
