GIS land saga: Presidency denies involvement; asks IGP to investigate

The Presidency has rejected claims that it is making attempts to encroach on a piece of land belonging to the Ghana International School (GIS).

“The Office of the President does NOT have any interest whatsoever in the piece of land in question,” the Presidency said in a statement signed by the Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Eugene Arhin.

“ No officer, agent or assign has been directed to secure and/or interfere in any matter pertaining to GIS land within Cantonments”.

The presidency has asked the IGP  to probe the matter.

“The Office of the President has made a formal complaint to the Inspector General of Police to investigate the entire matter,” the statement explained
