“I will tackle all sporting disciplines equally to make them effective’”- Akpaloo

Kofi Akpaloo, the founder and flag bearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana, has revealed his plans for sports in the country.

Speaking on the Legend Sports Show on Atinka FM with Justice Adusi-Poku, Kofi Akpaloo hinted he will delve into every sector of sports.

“I will appoint the Minister of Education and Sports,” he emphasized. He explained that his party will combine education and sports together to make it one ministry: the Education and Sports Ministry. He holds the belief that various education sectors are witnessing an increase in sports talent. ‘We have more talented students who are very good in sports, and my vision is to nurture them to become the country’s priority in competitions related to sports,’ he said.

He also stated that he holds juvenile football in high regard, and as a result, he plans to approach it with greater seriousness in order to support our national team, the Black Stars.

The upkeep of sports facilities has become a significant challenge in the country. Kofi Akpaloo has announced his intention to transfer all sports facilities to a private company that can effectively manage them and generate profits for the country.

Kofi Akpaloo, showing his displeasure with our current Ghana Football Association’s performance, has decided to dissolve the Association when the mantle is handed over to him as the president. Kurt Okraku’s regime has not had any positive impact on sports in the country through the GFA.

He concluded by expressing his readiness to alter the current status of the national team, which has been struggling to qualify for the Afcon. “I need only two years to prepare Black Stars to take the World Cup trophy when I am voted as Ghana president,” he stated.
