A 55-year-old hunter, Yaw Avorda, has shot and killed his lover, Yaa Comfort, 51, while she was bathing at Akyem Nyafoman in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region.
According to Victoria Teye, the deceased’s mother, Avorda had a dispute with Yaa Comfort before the tragic incident.
She is demanding justice for her daughter.
Some community members revealed that the couple had separated three weeks prior due to a misunderstanding.

They have called on the police to ensure Avorda faces the law, warning that failure to do so could lead to youth unrest.
The deceased’s body has been deposited at the Abirem Government Hospital morgue, while the suspect is receiving treatment at the same facility.
Police investigations are ongoing.
