A high-profile delegation from the Ministry for Youth Development and Empowerment, Ministry of Sports and Recreation, and the Ghana Tourism Authority has paid an official visit to Dr. Yussif Suleman, the Acting Managing Director of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) Limited.
The delegation, which included Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah, Technical Advisor to the Minister for Sports and Recreation; Mr. Abeiku Aggrey Santana, Deputy CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority; Mr. Okai Mintah, Chairman of the National Youth Wing of the NDC; and Mr. Selorm Amevor, Special Advisor to the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, congratulated Dr. Suleman on his appointment and commended TOR’s impressive performance under his leadership.
The meeting, held on April 24, 2025, focused on potential collaboration opportunities aimed at rebranding TOR, enhancing revenue generation, and leveraging the global visibility of Ghana’s national football teams to attract investors.

As part of the proposals, the delegation requested TOR’s support for Ghana’s senior national team under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, particularly ahead of the upcoming Unity Cup in London from May 28 to 31, featuring matches against Jamaica, Nigeria, and Trinidad & Tobago.
Dr. Suleman warmly welcomed the initiative, assuring the delegation of TOR’s commitment to supporting the national team and embracing the collaboration as part of its broader rebranding and investment drive.
Mr. Godwin Mahama Ayaba, Corporate Communication Officer-External Affairs at TOR, thanked the delegation and reiterated TOR’s readiness to partner with national institutions for the collective advancement of Ghana’s image and development.
