A man believed to be in his 40s on Wednesday escaped lynching at Effiekuma, a suburb of Takoradi after his estranged wife accused him of kidnapping his own children.
The man whose name was given as George, a Ghanaian, had apparently given a divorce notice to his Sierra Leonean wife. George had reportedly gone to pick his children from their mother, when an alarm was raised by the woman that the children, all female, were being kidnapped.
