Minister for Public Sector Reforms, Hon. Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba, has called on public institutions to embrace artificial intelligence and emerging technologies as the world of work continues to evolve.

According to her, technology must be deployed alongside human judgment, ethical leadership and accountability to ensure that digital transformation translates into better public service delivery.

She stressed that the public service of the future must not focus solely on what technology can do, but also on how it can be used responsibly to strengthen institutions and improve the lives of citizens.

Hon. Akanvariba made the remarks at the 10th edition of the HR Café, the first international edition, which brought together stakeholders from Ghana and Burkina Faso to discuss human capital, artificial intelligence and administrative cross-learning.

She said investment in people remains critical, arguing that sustainable public sector transformation cannot be achieved through technology and systems alone without a capable, ethical and adaptable workforce.
