Atinka TV’s News Editor, who is also host of “Missing Children”, Ms Regina Asamoah has urged parents, especially women to ensure gender equality at their homes in order to protect female children moving forward.
She appealed to parents to assign equal roles to female children and not burden them with all the chores while the male children are allowed to pay attention to their books only at homes.
She made the appeal due to the stories behind most missing female children.
As a host of the Missing Children, Ms Regina Asamoah observed that most female children run from home because they were made to carry out extra duties at home as compared to their male brothers.
She also observed that most of the children who served as house helps were not given same opportunities to formal education and were in some way maltreated and so they had to leave home.

Speaking at an event to commemorate the 2022 International Women’s Day which was held at the University of Ghana Business School, Ms Regina Asamoah also note that most of the missing children went missing at the various markets.
Some, she observed went to market with their parents to shop while some went with their guardians to sell at the market.
She, therefore, urged market women to be vigilant when they go on errands with their children, be it biological or adopted.
She also advised mothers to take good care of their children when they also go to the market.
Ms Regina Asamaoh also encouraged men to support their women raise and take good care of their children at home.
She again urged the men to try and understand their women in raising their children, noting that women go through a lot psychologically.
