Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency, Alexander Afenyo Markin, has gone to the rescue of persons suffering from fibroid and hernia.
The Effutu MP has decided to bear the cost of surgical operations for persons suffering from the aforementioned medical conditions in his constituency.
The Deputy Majority leader has consequently asked the Medical Superintendent at the Municipal Hospital-Winneba and the authorities at the Trauma and Specialist Hospital, Winneba to offer free services to persons suffering from hernia and fibroid.
It will be recalled that the generous MP recently donated over one million Ghana Cedis for the screening and treatment of Hepatitis B patients and has contracted Mumbies Foundation Ghana to spearhead that project which was dubbed HEPAGUARD under the theme: “Safeguarding Liver, Empowering Lives” in the in the Effutu constituency which is still ongoing
According to the lawmaker, the gesture is part of the yearly health support he offers to his constituents to promote quality healthcare.
The Deputy Majority leader stated that he had instructed all Assembly Members in the constituency to enlist persons suffering from the diseases and submit their names to the doctors in charge of the operations.
The Effutu Shepherd reiterated that the exercise is free including all additional expenses.
