Linda Afoa Amoako, CEO of the Afoa Impact Foundation, has called on the Ghana Health Service to include breast cancer screening in routine vital checks at health facilities, emphasizing that this could make early detection more accessible to Ghanaians. Her appeal came during a breast cancer awareness event in Ofankor, organized by the Afoa Impact Foundation in collaboration with the NLA Good Causes Foundation and the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Trobu, Gloria Owusu.
The event, which drew hundreds of participants—women, men, and children—served as a comprehensive health campaign, providing not only breast cancer screenings but also dental care, broadening the scope of healthcare offered.
Afoa Amoako encouraged all Ghanaians to take breast cancer screenings seriously, stressing that proactive health measures could be life-saving. She highlighted the Foundation’s commitment to health advocacy through annual initiatives, which have reached many communities, including prisons, underscoring the organization’s dedication to social impact.

Also addressing the crowd, Obeng Daniel, a Public Relations Officer for the NLA, highlighted the agency’s dedication to improving public welfare through revenue generated by gaming. He advocated for responsible betting and emphasized that health promotion remains central to the NLA’s mission.
This Ofankor event continues to exemplify the Afoa Impact Foundation’s mission to bring health awareness and essential services to the doorsteps of Ghanaian communities.
