Former Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at New Juaben North, Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang, has described Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen’s resignation from the party as regrettable.
Despite acknowledging his great works in the party, Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang was of the view that Alan had taken his decision and could not be convinced to stay in the party after all.
The downhearted Presidential Hopeful of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen announced his resignation from the party with immediate effect and made it known his bid to contest as an independent candidate for the 2024 presidential election.
Announcing his exit, Alan complained about supposed divisiveness in the NPP and alleged hostile attacks on himself and his supporters for more than a decade now.
He also claimed the party has been “hijacked by a selected group of Party leaders and elders, and government appointees behind the curtain power brokers”.

But if someone makes a decision with his wife and children, you cannot change their mind, so we will leave him to embark on his journey.
“If he says he does not believe in the NPP’s philosophy anymore but believes in his, so be it,” he said.
