Alleged NDC attack on student: NPP wants swift action from Police

The Director for Communications for the Ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagba says his party finds it deeply troubling that the Police have not taken action to apprehend the perpetrators of an alleged attack on a student by NDC  activists in the Ashanti Region.

According to Mr Ahiagba, Nana Boakye, the alleged victim who is a student of  Christian Service University College was brutally assaulted by NDC thugs during former President Mahama’s speech at the school recently.

The NPP Communications Director claimed that  NDC supporters at the event pounced on the helpless student when he said,  “Mahama will lose,” in response to an attack on Dr. Bawumia.

Making a statement on social media ON Sunday, Mr Ahiagbah said, “There is absolutely nothing wrong with the gentleman disagreeing with former President Mahama”.

He added that the  Ashanti NDC’s attempt to downplay this issue is unacceptable because no Ghanaian should be made to suffer such senseless and lawless abuse for simply exercising their right to free speech.

“I find it deeply troubling that the police have not taken action to apprehend the perpetrators of this vicious assault on Nana Boakye,” he added.
