Ashaiman: Pastors urge country to intensify prayers against accidents, premature deaths

Head Pastor of the Christos Chapel International, Rev Benjamin Antwi, has called on Ghanaians to intensify their prayers against motor accidents and premature deaths among the youth.

He made the call during the 31st watch night service held across the country.

In the Ashaiman municipality, churches were filled with members who were clad in their white apparel to praise the Lord for a successful year and also seek his protection for the new year.

At the Christos Chapel International, the atmosphere was very charged.

Head Pastor, Rev Benjamin Antwi who was preaching on the theme, the significance of a new year resolution, charged the congregation not to be discouraged with the happenings in 2020, predicting a better year this year.

Speaking with Atinka TV, Rev Antwi, said though there are going to be some challenges, citing premature deaths and motor accidents in the year, he said those under the care of God are going to enjoy his blessings.


Some clergymen who were captured by Atinka Tv, at their various churches also also made some pronouncements with regards to some form of calamities befalling the country, if christians do not intercede for the country.

Prophet Oheneba-Sammy of the Great Anointing Chapel, said prayers must be said for some prominent figures in the country who are likely to lose their lives.

He said a deadly flood is likely to befall the country within the month of June 2021.

On his part, General overseer of the Agyenka Prayer and Healing Center, Prophet Anthony Hagan, also urged Christians to respect and practise the values of Christ so as to enjoy a fruitful year.
