The Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has reacted to lawsuits filed against him by the Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman Freddie Blay and his son, Kwame Blay

In a Facebook post, the North Tongu MP said he had been waiting for the suit for weeks.

While Media General and Johnnie Hughes are named as defendants in Freddie Blay’s complaint, Kwame Blay’s claim is only directed against the North Tongu MP.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Mr. Ablakwa stated that even though he had not yet been served, the cases’ filing was excellent news.
He emphasized that individuals who initially sought asylum in the court did not own justice.

“They say better late than never even though I am yet to be served, this is great news after many weeks of countless threats. The battle to reclaim Labadi Beach Hotel’s beachfront just got exciting.

“Justice does not always belong to those who are first to seek refuge in the courts if you doubt this, ask the double identity champion. No matter the intimidation theatrics, State Capture shall surely be defeated! For God and Country. Ghana First,” he stated.

Recently, the Labadi Hotel beach front, a stretch of land that many people use for entertainment, became the focus of controversy after North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa claimed that top NPP officials were involved in a massive state capture plot.

The Labadi Beach Hotel had traditionally owned the beachfront, but the NDC MP claimed that Mr. Blay, the former National Chairman of the NPP, and his sons were the new proprietors.

Mr. Ablakwa went on to say that because of the politically exposed individuals participating in this illegal incursion, the Labadi Beach Hotel is now the only hotel in the world without exclusive authority over its full beach front because the politically exposed persons involved in this shady encroachment, leaving the board and management of the facility helpless.
