The vehicle of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Yohonu, has been attacked by unknown men in Bawku, leaving one officer injured.
Per pictures available to us, the attack targeted the IGP’s convoy, with one of the police officers sustaining injuries during the assault.
The attack, which occurred in a region facing heightened ethnic tensions, has raised alarm among security forces.
The identity of the injured officer has not yet been confirmed, and further details regarding the nature of the attack will be provided as investigations continue.
