The Christian Mothers’ Association (CMA) of the Roman Catholic Church has issued a strong disclaimer, distancing itself from a press statement currently circulating on social media.
In an official communication signed by the Executive Secretary, Mother Olivia Ansu Amponsah, and released on behalf of the National President, Mother Hannah Essuman, the Association made it clear that the said statement did not originate from their office and does not reflect the position of the Catholic Christian Mothers’ Association.
“Christian Mothers’ Association has seen a press statement making the rounds on social media. Please note that it is not coming from the Christian Mothers’ Association in the Roman Catholic Church,” the statement read.

The Association reiterated its commitment to the teachings and Canon Laws of the Roman Catholic Church and urged members across all Arch/Dioceses in Ghana and the diaspora to disregard the content of the circulating document.
“We comply with the Canon Laws and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and distance ourselves from the press statement,” it added.
This clarification follows growing concern among members about the authenticity and origin of the viral message. The leadership has advised all members to remain vigilant and verify any communication with the National Secretariat before taking any action.
The Christian Mothers’ Association, one of the largest Catholic women’s movements in Ghana, continues to play a vital role in community development and the spiritual growth of its members.
