The Electoral Commission (EC) has indicated that a corrected Provisional Voters Register (PVR) will be exhibited online before the final register is made available ahead of the 2024 Elections.

The EC response follows a request by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that there should be a forensic audit of the Voter’s Register.

According to the NDC, the current register is fraught with anomalies.

“The Commission intends to implement an Online Exhibition of the PVR at no cost to Registered Voters. Voters will be able to report on anomalies with their details within a time frame to be made available to the Public. The Voters Register will be displayed Online until the Election Day”, the EC said in a statement issued on Thursday.

“The Commission takes this opportunity to assure the NDC and the General Public that it has largely resolved all the discrepancies identified in the PVR.

“The Commission achieved this in 2020 and will do it again in 2024.”
