Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has urged Ghanaians to use this year’s Easter celebration to learn from the sacrifice illustrated by Christ to humanity.
Delivering his Easter message on Good Friday via his social media handles, the Vice President further urged Ghanaians to use the occasion to ensure cordial co-existence on earth.
“I wish Christians in Ghana and around the world a happy Easter. As Christians commemorate the passion of Jesus Christ, I entreat all to learn from the sacrifice illustrated by Christ to humanity and emulate it to ensure cordial co-existence on earth.
Let’s have an incident-free festive season,” Dr Bawumia said.
Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum. It is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Great and Holy Friday, and Black Friday.
