The Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving maternal and child healthcare by donating ultramodern incubators and medical equipment to the Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital and the Upper East Regional Hospital.
Speaking at an event organized by the Embassy of Hungary in Accra, JA Health Hub, Medico, IPMC, and other partners, the king stressed the importance of collective action in addressing neonatal health challenges.

Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital, Ghana’s only specialized children’s hospital, has been in dire need of infrastructural upgrades. Senior physician Dr. Joseph Boateng lamented its current deteriorated state, calling for urgent intervention.

Since visiting the facility and donating medical equipment, the Ga Mantse has remained committed to improving healthcare services. He has also pledged to establish a new specialized children’s hospital to reduce the burden on the existing facility.

As the chief custodian of the land hosting Ghana’s government, the king has promised to allocate land for this project and has called on stakeholders to support his vision for a stronger healthcare system.
