The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) congratulates the Managing Director of the Despite Media Group, Fadda Dickson on being honored with a doctorate degree by the Confederation of Governance Assessment Institute (COGAI) in partnership with Bureau of Research on Governance, Commerce and Administration (BORGCA).
Conferment was by Alfred Nobel University, Pernopil State Economic University and Vinnitsya State Pedagogical University under the auspices of Ministry of Education, Ukraine.
The GJA wishes to share in the joy of Mr. Dickson in this milestone in his career. The recognition of his works by one of the respected universities in the world, Alfred Nobel University in Ukraine is a clear indication that the media in Ghana is doing something right.
It is an undeniable fact that the Despite Group led by Mr. Dickson has touched many lives across the country since it started operations in 1999; the numerous social interventions embarked upon by the group including the annual donations to widows, blood donations and importantly the dissemination of information to the vast majority of Ghanaians through its numerous networks, bear testimony to this fact.
The recognition by the Ukraine University gives further testament to the Group’s versatility in the media industry. No wonder the group’s flagship radio station, Peace FM, has consistently claimed the number one spot in several media surveys.
Just as the Alfred Noble University’s citation alluded to, Mr. Dickson has demonstrated that he is a gem when it comes to media management in the country.
It must also be noted that due to his exceptional managerial qualities and dynamic leadership, the Despite Media Group was recently adjudged the Pan-African Greatest Indigenous Media Group.
Once again, the GJA is delighted that a Ghanaian media manager has been duly recognized by an internationally renowned tertiary institution; this is worthy to celebrate.
Signed:
Affail Monney
