President of High Tension Foundation, Ceceila Akosua Agyeiwaa, has urged government to construct recreational centers in all sixteen regions of the country.
According to her, that would go a long way toward keeping them happy and letting them out of loneliness.
Madam Agyeiwaa made the appeal ahead of the International Day of the Aged which falls on October 1 every year. The day is celebrated day to acknowledge the contributions and achievements of older people in society and to increase awareness about the challenges they encounter.

In another development, Akosua Adjeiwaa, has called on Ghanaians, especially the youth, to read widely to broaden their knowledge.
She expressed regret that many people spend huge sums of money to purchase books only to put them on the shelves to gather dust and also spend much time on social media, which, according to her, is of no benefit.
She delivered a speech on the “Reading with Champions” program at the 21st Ghana International Book Fair.
Reading with Champions is a reading competition that aims to improve student’s literacy skills and build confidence in reading. The program pairs students with mentors who guide and support them as they read and compete with their peers.
