Legon scientists make breakthrough into tracking of COVID-19 virus

Scientists at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research and the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens both at the University of Ghana say they  have obtained a critical  information on  the virus responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic.
A  statement released by the  Public Affairs Directorate of the University of Ghana  disclosed that the scientists analysed 15 samples from selected cases in Ghana to gain a comprehensive understanding of the differences of the virus in the country.
The statement revealed that the scientists took samples rom travellers from UK, Norway, Hungary, India, United States, and the United Arab Emirates
They also took samples from  nine from persons  with  no history of travel and had community infections.
