The Ghana Police Service has refuted claims that the married woman who went missing recently was sent by her office which is the Lands Commission.
Although unconfirmed, it was reported on social media that the colleague of the Mrs Amoah-Darko had been found dead while she was still missing.
According to the Police, following the filing of the “Missing Person” complaint by the husband of Mrs Rhodaline Amoah-Darko on 02/09/2021, a team at the National Headquarters, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander and Crime Officer and his team spoke to all related parties as part of police investigations.
The Police said investigations revealed that, “The Lands Commission did not assign Mrs Rhodaline Amoah-Darko on any official work, neither was she assigned with any colleague to do any work leading to her disappearance.”
The Police also clarified that no other staff of the Commission or any other person linked to the married woman has been declared missing or found dead.
Meanwhile, the Police stated that a 24-hour team is currently working on the case and other related cases.
“A Clinical Psychologist has been engaged to provide psychological support to the family of Rhodaline Amoah-Darko and her colleagues at the Lands Commission,” the Police stated.
It added that further details on the disappearance of the married woman shall be made known to the public.
