My experience as a maid shaped me – Fella Makafui

Actress Fella Makafui, born Precious Fella Makafui, has revealed that her experiences as a maid servant have helped shape her into the woman she is today.

Speaking on Agyenkwa FM’s Adwuma Mmr3 show with host B Ice, Fella Makafui recounted her time as a maid servant with a friend in the home of a Lebanese family in Accra.

Fella Makafui noted that although the job lasted for a year, she learned invaluable lessons from the role.

Asked how she was able to cope as a maid, the Yolo actor revealed that she had no other option at that time.

“I don’t think that experience was a bad one. I feel it comes with the job. My boss was calm, but his wife would sometimes pour water on the floor after cleaning just to get me to re-clean. I had to handwash clothes despite the availability of a washing machine.

“I remember I was restricted from drinking chilled water in the house, so I had to resort to drinking tap water. All these experiences have shaped me, and I do not treat people badly because I know how frustrating that was for me at that moment. I think they are all life lessons,” Fella Makafui revealed.

Fella Makafui is currently in Kumasi on a media tour ahead of the premiere of her new movie, ‘Resonance’.

The movie premiers on Saturday, 8th June at the Silverbird cinemas at the Royal View Cinema at the SG Mall in Kumasi.

Advance tickets for the premier can be purchased by simply dialing *928*085*3# for GHS50 for single and GHS80 for double.
