NDC only good at opposing NPP policies -Adomako Baafi

Yaw Adomako Baafi, Deputy Director of Communication for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s Campaign, has labeled the opposition National Democratic Party (NDC) as nation-wreckers.

He asserts that despite the NDC’s apparent lack of support for the NPP’s superior policies, they have actually benefited from them over time.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Atinka FM’s AM Drive with host Nana Yaw Fianko, Mr. Baafi claimed that the elephant family holds the record as a champion of social intervention programs in the country.

Touching on some policies introduced by the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Adomako Baafi mentioned the pension reforms, which instilled sanity and brought relief to pensioners, and the introduction of the cocoa mass spraying exercise, which took place under former President Kuffour.

He went on to say that although the National Democratic Congress opposed former President Kuffour’s introduction of the National Health Insurance Scheme, they now claim to have improved the policy.

Speaking on one of the NPP’s flagship social interventions, the Free Senior High School Policy, Mr. Baafi said the same opposition, the NDC, and their flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, fought the policy and ran a series of advertisements against it, but today some of their children are benefiting from it.

He went on, “We all witnessed the remarks made by certain individuals within the opposition NDC, such as their National Women’s Organizer, Dr. Hannah Bissiw, when Dr. Bawumia introduced the drone technology system to Ghana.” Hannah Bissiw stated that Dr. Bawumia brought the drones to capture the intimate parts of women. Dr. Baafi questioned whether this wasn’t a wicked practice.

He added that, despite the NPP’s center-right ideology, the party has implemented more social intervention programs than any other political party in the history of this country, adding that most of the developed countries come to Ghana to learn from us.
