An unidentified woman, believed to be in her late 30s was seen hanging on a tree at Kyereyaase in Nerebehi Electoral Area of Atwima Nwabiagya South municipality of the Ashanti Region on February 2, 2025.
Per careful examination of the body by residents and the police, it appears she was killed and hanged on the tree.
Hon Kwame Asante, the Assembly Member of Nerebehi Electoral Area, confirming the incident to Atinka News said the deceased was not a native of the community.
As at the time of filing this report, the police had not arrested any suspect.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been sent to the Afari Community Hospital morgue for autopsy.Atinkaonline.com will also update the public on the matter when necessary.
